Elevator Pitch
Eliecer López (Córdoba 1972) holds a degree in Agricultural Engineering from the University of Córdoba, a Master's degree in Quality Management from the Polytechnic University of Catalonia and has completed the PMD® programme at ESADE.
Currently works at GreenBE Pharma. A Pharmaceutical company growing and processing GMP Cannabis in Portugal for medicinal use.
He has developed his professional career in the private sector in the field of conformity assessment and certification, having been Quality and Food Safety Manager at COVAP and Director of the certification body Applus+, among other positions.
He has extensive experience in the valorisation of science and agricultural research and innovation, having worked for 13 years as Director of Business Development and Director of Internationalisation at the Institute of Agri-Food Research and Technology of Catalonia (IRTA), where he has wide experience in the commercial exploitation of plant varieties, intellectual property and its licensing worldwide.
He has been Business Development Director of Phytoplant Research, the first company in the country authorised to carry out research with Cannabis by the Spanish Agency for Medicines and Health Products (AEMPS).
He has been an evaluator of Research and Innovation projects of the Horizon2020 programme in the area of bioeconomy for the DG Research of the European Commission and has a wide international experience having exploited science valorisation projects, technical assistance or cooperation for agricultural development in more than 30 countries of the five continents.
